Lane Kiffin and Ole Miss picked up a narrow win over Texas A&M after getting a hand on what would have been a game-tying field goal.

The Rebels outstanding season continued as they got their 8th win of the season, and now they can head into one of the biggest games of the season next week against Georgia with momentum on their side.

Kiffin was obviously excited after picking up the tight win.

“Thank God for this opportunity, coaches and players. It’s a really cool group of players,” Kiffin said after the game. “For them to show up today and the game go like that, a 10-point swing, and for them to finish a game is really awesome. I’m really proud of our players. Credit to A&M for playing a good game and taking us down to the wire.”

Kiffin’s offense was able to put up some solid numbers against one of the better defenses in the SEC, something that he knows is no small feat.

“This is one of the best defenses in the country, they give people problems and to come away with 38 points today even though we stumbled in the red zone is awesome,” Kiffin said. “All the credit goes to our players. What a cool win.”

Now Kiffin has to get ready to take on Georgia, though he wasn’t even thinking about who is next opponent was following the win.

“I didn’t even know who we played, but thanks for reminding me, they’ve got a pretty good defense, too,” Kiffin said.
