Ole Miss senior wide receiver Braylon Sanders fought off some nagging injuries last season, and a slow start, to come on strong late in the season.

He didn’t have any catches in the first 3 games, but by the end of the season made 14 catches for 370 yards and 4 touchdowns. His 2 biggest games were against South Carolina when he made 4 catches for 141 yards, and then against LSU when he had 4 catches for 70 yards and a pair of touchdowns.

Sanders averaged a team-best 26.43 yards per catch last season.

Coach Lane Kiffin this week discussed his potential this season and beyond.

“I think Braylon can play all over the place, I think he’s extremely talented,” Kiffin said. “If he had a good year from a height, weight, speed, ball skill standpoint, he’s a potential first-round draft pick. You saw the explosive plays he made a year ago, just didn’t have that many opportunities with injuries and other situations. So look for him to have a really big year.”

OM Spirit recalled that Sanders had a huge spring game and caught 4 passes for for 135 yards and a touchdown. On the first play from scrimmage, QB Matt Corral hit a streaking Sanders for a 57-yard gain down the middle of the field.
