Leaked audio from Lane Kiffin’s heated exchange with DeSanto Rollins was released on social media Thursday afternoon.

The audio is from the day Rollins claims he was kicked off the team by Kiffin following a “mental health break,” which was mentioned in a lawsuit against Kiffin from Rollins back in September.

The tape starts with Kiffin telling Rollins off about not responding to text messages and not showing up for what appears to have been a previously scheduled meeting between coaches and Rollins.

Rollins then says in the audio “I don’t see why you’ve got to be disrespectful” to which Kiffin replies “Get out of here. Go, you’re off the team. You’re done.”

Kiffin later adds the following: “And guess what? We can kick you off the team. So go read your F****** rights about mental health, we can kick you off the team for not showing up. When the head coach asks to meet with you and you don’t show up for weeks, okay we can remove you from the team.”

Regarding the aforementioned lawsuit, here’s what Ole Miss said in a statement in September, essentially denying they ever received a lawsuit:

“We have not received a lawsuit. DeSanto was never removed from the football team and remains on scholarship. In addition, he continues to have the opportunity to receive all of the resources and advantages that are afforded a student-athlete at the university.”
