Ole Miss defense delivers safety to extend lead over Kentucky

No. 7 Kentucky and No. 14 Ole Miss are locked in a good on in Oxford this afternoon.

Most recently it was the Rebels defense coming up big.

Facing a 3rd-and-12 play from his own 11-yard line, Kentucky quarterback Will Levis was sacked in the end zone by Ole Miss’ Tavius Robinson and Troy Brown for a safety. at the 10:28 mark of the 2nd quarter.

The 2 points extended the Rebels’ lead over the Wildcats to 16-6.

Ole Miss has since added a 53-yard field goal from Jonathan Cruz to further extend the lead.

The Rebels’ advantage now stands at 19-6 with 7:03 to play before halftime.
