Rashaud Marshall, the No. 1 player in the state of Arkansas, has announced a commitment to play in the SEC.
Marshall is from Blytheville, Arkansas, and the 6-foot-9 and 215-pound center, has announced a pledge to play at Ole Miss. He’s ranked the No. 13 center in the class of 2023, according to the 247Sports Composite.
His offer list included Kansas, Missouri, Mississippi State, TCU and Texas A&M.
“This offer was big for me,” Marshall told OM Spirit. “My pops always wanted me to go to Ole Miss. I saw they are hard workers down there; they don’t go for no soft stuff. They’ll be in there until the end. … I am a big-time post player. I love playing, banging around in the post. This year was big for me; I learned how to work hard, no days off. I am working on my perimeter skills now. I’m handling the ball more, shooting it a little.”
Here’s a description of his scouting profile from OM Spirit: Marshall is a blue-collar throwback type player of sorts. He wants to bury his man on the block and battle for rebounds. The Arkansas native has confidence scoring over both shoulders, and his touch extends out to the three-point line.
