Kenny Pickett recently stepped in for the injured Jalen Hurts to guide the Philadelphia Eagles through the remainder of the regular season as one of the top seeds in the NFC.

Pickett took over against the Washington Commanders last week and was serviceable, throwing for 143 yards, 1 touchdown and an interception. But against the divisional rival Dallas Cowboys this week, Pickett had a gaff that will likely be remembered alongside his NFL career forever.

Looking to pass downfield, Pickett’s wrist was hit by a defender coming from behind him, and the QB tried to hang onto the ball. Unfortunately, the momentum of doing so appeared to take him off balance, creating a play where it looked like the football pulled him to the ground.

Pickett lost control of the ball in the end, resulting in a fumble that was recovered by the Eagles’ Saquon Barkley in the backfield.

Pickett also later left this game with a rib injury after being hit by Micah Parsons. He is currently questionable to return.

Pickett joined the Eagles after spending two seasons with the Pittsburgh Steelers following a productive career with Pat Narduzzi and Pittsburgh in college. After throwing for over 2,000 yards in each of the past two years, Pickett has thrown for 148 in a backup role to Hurts this season.
