The 2021 NFL Draft is still several months away, but that doesn’t mean we can’t speculate about who will be taken in Round 1.

On Saturday, Pro Football Network’s Neal Driscoll released his latest 7-round NFL Mock Draft, and in Round 1, he had 11 SEC players listed.

As you can see below, Alabama leads the way with 5 players going in Round 1. Alabama CB Patrick Surtain II is the first SEC star off the board:

  • No. 6 — Patrick Surtain II, CB, Alabama — New York Giants
  • No. 7 — Ja’Marr Chase, WR, LSU — Detroit Lions
  • No. 10 — Dylan Moses, LB, Alabama — Las Vegas Raiders
  • No. 13 — Jaylen Waddle, WR, Alabama — Miami Dolphins
  • No. 15 — Christian Barmore, DL, Alabama — Denver Broncos
  • No. 22 — Jaycee Horn, CB, South Carolina — Indianapolis Colts
  • No. 24 — Nick Bolton, LB, Mizzou — Philadelphia Eagles
  • No. 25 — Tyler Shelvin, DL, LSU — Pittsburgh Steelers
  • No. 28 — Kyle Pitts, TE, Florida — Dallas Cowboys
  • No. 29 — DeVonta Smith, WR, Alabama — New Orleans Saints
  • No. 31 — Tyson Campbell, CB, Georgia — San Francisco 49ers

Again, it’s still early, so these projections can certainly change. Alabama OL Alex Leatherwood is a first-round pick in many mocks, but didn’t make the cut in Driscoll’s mock. (He has Leatherwood going in Round 2.)
