It shouldn’t be a surprise that Alabama is likely to have multiple players taken during the first round of the 2022 NFL Draft. The Crimson Tide again have a bunch of talented prospects on their roster this year.

However, could it be possible that another SEC school will have more first-round draft picks in 2022?

That’s what Ryan Wilson of CBS Sports currently believes, as he has 4 Texas A&M players getting selected in the opening round of his latest NFL mock draft for 2022. The first of the Aggies standouts he has getting taken is defensive lineman DeMarvin Leal, who Wilson projects to go at No. 5.

Although Alabama has 2 fewer players in Wilson’s mock, both Crimson Tide players he has going in the first round are projected to get drafted in the top 10 — offensive lineman Evan Neal at No. 2 and linebacker Christian Harris at No. 10.

Here are the SEC players who Wilson is currently projecting to go in the first round:

2. New York Jets: Evan Neal, OL, Alabama
4. Detroit Lions: Derek Stingley Jr., CB, LSU
5. New York Giants: DeMarvin Leal, DL, Texas A&M
9. Atlanta Falcons: Matt Corral, QB, Ole Miss
10. Philadelphia Eagles: Christian Harris, LB, Alabama
13. Washington Football Team: Kaiir Elam, CB, Florida
15. Pittsburgh Steelers: Kenyon Green, OL, Texas A&M
17. New Orleans Saints: Treylon Burks, WR, Arkansas
18. Cleveland Browns: Kingsley Enagbare, LB, South Carolina
20. Tennessee Titans: Jalen Wydermyer, TE, Texas A&M
21. Tampa Bay Buccaneers: Isaiah Spiller, RB, Texas A&M
25. Green Bay Packers: Derion Kendrick, DB, Georgia

The 2022 NFL Draft is scheduled to take place April 28-30 in Las Vegas.
