Three former SEC players are getting NFL opportunities in Houston.

On Friday, the Houston Texans announced that the club has signed former Texas A&M offensive linemen Carson Green and Ryan McCollum as well as former Mizzou receiver Damon Hazelton.

Green started all 10 games this past season at Texas A&M, logging 691 snaps at right tackle. A team captain for seven games, Green earned second-team All-SEC recognition.

A center, McCollum also started all 10 games. He was a team captain for five games.

The Texas A&M offensive line was one of the finalists for the Joe Moore Award. The group led the SEC in sacks allowed, tackles for loss allowed and yards per carry.

Hazelton was a two-time transfer, starting his career at Ball State and then transferring to Virginia Tech before landing at Mizzou for 2020. This past season, Hazelton caught 30 passes for 397 yards and a touchdown.

We’ll see how the trio of SEC alumni fares in Texans camp.
