It’s going to be a battle for the nation’s No. 1 overall athlete in the class of 2020 Darnell Washington.

Washington is currently attending The Opening Finals, and he has a pretty good idea where he will take his official visits, according to 247Sports’ Greg Biggins.

“If I had to choose today, my five visits would be to Georgia, Tennessee, Alabama, Miami and LSU,” Washington said. “Things could change but that’s where it’s at today. I haven’t set up any dates yet but I plan to take all of those visits during the season so I can visit on a game weekend.”

Things may be far from over for Washington, but it appears that Alabama, Georgia, LSU and Tennessee are in the ballpark for official visits, with Miami the only non-SEC program in the running. That’s rather impressive because Washington is from Las Vegas.

Although he’s the nation’s top ranked athlete, he projects to play tight end at the next level. His 6-foot-7, 250-pound frame is a dream for quarterbacks.

Washington is ranked as the nation’s No. 11 overall prospect in the class of 2020.
