DJ Wesolak is among the top high school edge rushers in the country. And soon, he’ll be providing a defensive boost to the 2022 recruiting class of 1 of the top college football programs in the nation.

Wesolak, a 4-star recruit, hasn’t yet made a decision on where he’ll begin his college career. However, he has narrowed his list, as he seems to be moving closer to making a choice.

On Wednesday, Wesolak announced his top 8 choices: Alabama, Georgia, LSU, Missouri, North Carolina, Oregon, Penn State and USC. With 4 of those schools being members of the SEC, there’s a decent chance he could be coming to the conference.

Wesolak is the No. 14 edge rusher in the 2022 class, per the 247Sports Composite rankings, as well as the No. 190 overall recruit. He currently attends Boonville (Mo.) High School.

Wesolak has only 1 in-state school among his top 8, so if he wants to stay close to home, he could end up going to Mizzou. However, there are a lot of strong programs on his list, so he could have a tough decision to make in the near future.
