4-star Florida DL down to 2 SEC schools for October commitment
A pair of SEC East schools made the final cut Thursday in the recruitment of a prized 4-star defensive lineman in the class of 2022.
Florida and South Carolina are the last 2 teams standing in the battle for the services of Jamari Lyons. The Melbourne, Fla. native posted a video on his Twitter profile announcing the Gators and Gamecocks as his final choices:

Lyons will decide his college destination on October 6, and 247Sports experts clearly believe in-state Florida to be the overwhelming favorite to land the 6-foot-4, 295-pound Lyons out of Viera High School:
On the 247Sports Composite, Florida currently ranks No. 5 in the SEC for the recruiting class of 2022, with 14 commitments on board. South Carolina is ranked No. 8 in the conference with 17 verbal commitments.
