As teams around the country prepare to finalize their 2022 recruiting classes, prospects for the class of 2023 are beginning to whittle down their lists of prospective destinations. One of the top prospects in the country made cuts to his list on Wednesday.

The player is Jayden Wayne, a 5-star defensive lineman out of Tacoma, Washington. According to the 247 Sports Composite Rankings, Wayne is the No. 31 overall recruit nationally and the No. 5 DL in the nation for 2023. He is also rated the top prospect out of Washington for the cycle.

Wayne revealed his Top 11 list on Wednesday with Georgia, Alabama, Auburn, Florida, and LSU included in the running. Those SEC programs were joined by Oregon, USC, Texas, Michigan State, Miami, and Washington.

Wayne is listed at 6-foot-5 and 245 lbs. and has all the makings of a difference-maker at the next level.
