The Kentucky Wildcats and Tennessee Volunteers have made the list of finalists for 5-star combo guard Cason Wallace.

The Richardson, Tex. native, considered the No. 12 player in the country by 247Sports, unveiled his 4 finalists on Twitter on Wednesday. Along with Kentucky and Tennessee, Texas and UTSA are the others.

Wallace took an official visit to Lexington this past weekend. His next one is set for Texas the weekend of Sept. 4, followed by Tennessee the weekend of Sept. 17. It would be his 2nd official visit to Knoxville as he was there in June.

Kentucky has 1 commit thus far in the class of 2022: Skyy Moore, the No. 11 player and No. 2 point guard in the country. Tennessee has a commit of its own, and it’s from a hometown product in BJ Edwards, the No. 12 point guard in the class.

In 2021, Rick Barnes claimed the No. 4 class in the country for the Vols, while John Calipari and the Wildcats ranked 10th.
