A Tulane defensive lineman made a huge play against UCF, and didn’t realize it until his teammate came over and reminded him to start running the other direction.

Joseph Dorceus was the beneficiary of a fumble recovery, but he initially thought it was an incomplete pass, and was frustrated until Ajani Kerr came alongside him. The commentators on the ESPNU broadcast noted that a whistle was not blown as the Green Wave defense got moving.

But Tulane couldn’t capitalize and 4 plays later, a missed field goal attempt ended the possession.

UCF led 7-0 at halftime thanks to a late-first quarter touchdown.

UCF came into the game with a 5-3 record, while Tulane was 1-7.
