Assistant coach linked to high school players’ attack on referee

New details have emerged from the national story involving two Texas-based high school football players who targeted an official during last week’s game.

San Antonio Jay assistant coach Mack Breed has been accused of orchestrating the attack and has been placed on administrative leave while the situation is being investigated, according to according to the San Antonio Express-News.

Breed has been accused of telling players “this guy needs to pay for cheating us,” before San Antonio Jay’s defense took the field late in the fourth quarter.
