The Westgate Las Vegas Sportsbook released updated Heisman Trophy odds on Tuesday and, unsurprisingly, many SEC stars are among the favorites to win the trophy.

Though USC QB Sam Darnold is the favorite with 5/1 odds, 12 SEC players had odds of 100/1 or better.

Auburn QB Jarrett Stidham made the biggest move, seeing his odds jump from 50/1 to 20/1 in the latest update.

Other SEC players listed as Heisman contenders include:

  • Jalen Hurts, QB, Alabama — 20/1
  • Bo Scarbrough, RB, Alabama — 20/1
  • Derrius Guice, RB, LSU — 20/1
  • Nick Chubb, RB, Georgia — 25/1
  • Kamryn Pettway, RB, Auburn — 30/1
  • Da’Shawn Hand, DE, Alabama — 60/1
  • Christian Kirk, WR, Texas A&M — 80/1
  • Nick Fitzgerald, QB, Mississippi State — 100/1
  • Jacob Eason, QB, Georgia — 100/1
  • Calvin Ridley, WR, Alabama — 100/1
  • Shea Patterson, QB, Ole Miss — 100/1

Much like Derrius Guice burst onto the scene in 2016 to lead the SEC in rushing yards, though, there are sure to be newcomers make their name in the Heisman race.

In fact, Louisville QB Lamar Jackson wasn’t receiving much hype last year, but put together an amazing season and took home the award.
