One of the most touching moments of Week 1 of the 2017 college football season came in Los Angeles, where the USC Trojans had blind long snapper Jake Olson snap the ball for the final extra-point attempt of their 49-31 win over Western Michigan.
The kick was made and Olson received congratulations from teammates and even a couple of opponents.
On Sunday afternoon, Olson took to Twitter to thank USC coaches and fans for making his special moment possible:
Thanks for all the love and support Trojan Nation! See below for a longer statement. Beat The Farm! pic.twitter.com/RXZKBz1r5U

Olson has been involved with the USC program since the age of 12, when Pete Carroll was the coach of the Trojans, so Saturday’s special moment had been a long time coming.
Kudos to Olson for staying calm and making a beautiful snap, and kudos to K Chase McGrath for knocking the kick through the uprights to finish off the incredible play.
