Camdin Portis, the son of former NFL star running back Clinton Portis, is a member of the 2026 recruiting cycle and a top 300 prospect according to 247Sports. And now, he’s getting close to making a decision on where he’ll play in college.

Portis whittled his offer list to 5 on Saturday, including a pair of programs from the SEC: Tennessee and Auburn. Also included are Miami, Ohio State and Penn State.

Portis attends Myers Park High School in Charlotte, North Carolina and stands at 6-foot, 165 pounds. He’s considered to be the No. 195 overall prospect in the country and the No. 18 overall cornerback. Finally, Portis is considered the be the No. 12 player out of the Tar Heel State.

For obvious reasons, Miami is a team to watch here for Portis. Camdin’s dad starred for Miami from 1999-2001, winning a title with the Hurricanes in 2001 as the team’s top running back. Portis rushed for 1200 yards and 10 touchdowns that season.

So yeah, Portis made his mark on Miami and there are obvious ties for his son to continue the legacy. Camdin and his family will be in attendance for tonight’s battle against Florida State, too.
