If you don’t know the name Carson King, he is the Iowa State fan that has helped raise over $1 million for the University of Iowa Stead Family Children’s Hospital.

His charitable act all started with a College GameDay sign asking for beer money. When some money started to come in, King decided instead of buying alcohol, he would donate the money to charity. Once companies caught wind of the story, they started donating to help boost the amount raised by King.  That’s when Anheuser-Busch donated $350,000 to the cause.

However, after some old tweets surfaced from King’s account from his high school days, Anheuser-Busch cut ties with King. King has since apologized for his comments made eight years ago.

“Eight years ago, when I was a sophomore in high school, I made some social media posts with my friends that quoted and referenced the show ‘Tosh.0,’” King said during a recent press conference. “One of those posts was brought to my attention by a member of the media today.”
