Ex-UGA QB Aaron Murray’s move to the broadcast booth is now official.

The CBS Sports Network made the announcement via press release Tuesday morning.

Murray and former Illinois OL David Diehl have joined CBS Sports Network as analysts while Erik Coleman, former DB for Washington State, has joined the network as a sideline reporter. The first game of 2017 for the network will be an August 26 match-up between Oregon State and Colorado State.

The 2017 line up for the CBS Sports Network will feature conferences such as the AAC, C-USA, MAC, MWC, and various Service Academy football games. Some of the high profile schools that will be featured include Oregon, Stanford, and Virginia Tech. Two SEC teams, Mississippi State and Kentucky, will also make appearances on the schedule.

Murray is best known for his time under center with UGA. Murray was a four-year starter for UGA and finished his career as the SEC’s all-time leader in completions, passing yards, and passing TD’s. His best season came in 2012 when he nearly led UGA to an SEC title against Alabama.

Despite his impressive collegiate numbers, Murray could never break through in the NFL. At least fans will still get to watch Murray as part of the broadcast team at the CBS Sports Network.
