Charles Barkley insists on wild SEC coaching move involving Deion Sanders: 'I know that for a fact'
Former NBA and Auburn basketball star Charles Barkley joined The Next Round Thursday to discuss a coaching maneuver that would be… shocking to say the least.
Barkley insinuated Thursday that Texas A&M was going to be letting go of head coach Jimbo Fisher – and fork over the $95 million buyout money – in an attempt to go after Jackson State’s Deion Sanders.
His full quote was this: “I think there’s gonna be a shocker firing in the SEC and I know for a fact that they’re probably gonna go after Deion. I know that for a fact.”
The Next Round hosts eventually whittled the list down to Fisher at Texas A&M, leading Barkley to respond with “I didn’t say a word.”
See for yourself and draw your own conclusions.

That would certainly be a wild move, but things have definitely not gone smoothly in College Station under Fisher’s leadership. Could Barkley’s statements have some merit?
We’ll just have to wait and find out.
