The latest Coaches Poll is out and the SEC has 6 teams ranked. Last week’s poll featured 7 teams from the conference.

Unlike some other unofficial rankings, the coaches have Georgia at No. 1. UGA held on to the top spot in the poll after a closer-than-expected win over Vanderbilt, with star TE Brock Bowers leaving early due to injury.

The SEC’s other division leader, Alabama, got a rankings bump. The Crimson Tide moved up 2 spots to No. 8. UA is tied with Texas, the team that handed Nick Saban’s squad its only loss of the 2023 season. The Longhorns are also a 1-loss team, coming up short against Oklahoma.

Ole Miss moved up 1 spot to No. 13 while on a bye. Tennessee gained 2 spots, moving up to No. 15 after beating Texas A&M in a defensive battle.

The ranked Tigers, LSU and Mizzou, also moved up. LSU is up 1 spot to No. 19 after defeating Auburn in a blowout. Mizzou picked up a lopsided win at Kentucky and moved up 5 spots to No. 20. Kentucky, meanwhile, has dropped out of the top 25.
