The Super 16 has a new No. 1.

The Football Writers Association of America (FWAA) and the National Football Foundation (NFF) released the new Super 16 poll on Sunday. As seen in the AP Top 25 and other polls, Georgia is the new No. 1.

The Bulldogs moved up after Alabama’s close call at Texas, receiving 39 first-place votes. The Crimson Tide is down to No. 2. Nick Saban’s squad still received 10 first-place votes.

The SEC leads the way with 5 teams. Arkansas moved up 4 spots to No. 9, its highest spot in the history of the poll, which was introduced at the end of the 2013 season. Kentucky went from being unranked to No. 10 after knocking off Florida. Tennessee checks in at No. 14 after previously being outside the rankings.
