ESPN continues to cut ties with its network veterans with the latest cut coming to one of the most recognizable faces in Bristol.

According to Andrew Marchand of the New York Post, ESPN is letting Trey Wingo go after the broadcaster has been with the network for 20 years.

Wingo was most recently featured on the “Golic & Wingo” radio show, along with Mike Golic. ESPN recently made the decision to remove Golic from the network’s radiowaves for the first time in decades. Instead of doing morning radio, Golic has moved to a role as a college football analyst for the 2020 season.

According to Marchand, Wingo is interested in moving on to the NFL Network.

Wingo has experience hosting the NFL Draft for ESPN and NFL Live. This offseason, ESPN made the decision to move Laura Rutledge to the host role on NFL Live.

Wingo’s career at ESPN began in 1997.
