ESPN/ABC announce changes to college football coverage for 2017
News of Booger McFarland leaving the SEC Network to join ABC Sports leaked early Tuesday but has since been confirmed by ESPN. McFarland may be leaving the SEC-centric channel but he will still be covering college football exclusively for ESPN/ABC.
McFarland’s move wasn’t the only move announced by ESPN Tuesday, here are a few changes that were announced by the company Tuesday afternoon:
- Former LSU DL Booger McFarland will team up with former Texas coach Mack Brown and anchor Kevin Negandhi to form the three-man booth for ABC’s coverage of college football
- Former Florida QB Jesse Palmer, former Ohio State WR Joey Galloway and anchor Adnan Virk will form the three-man booth for ESPN’s coverage of college football on Thursdays, Fridays and Saturdays
- Former Oregon coach Chip Kelly will serve on as an analyst for ESPN’s college football coverage on Fridays and Saturdays and Kelly also working NFL Sundays for ESPN
