Two SEC teams lead for one of the country’s hottest transfers.

Former elite class of 2015 quarterback Ricky Town announced his intention to transfer from Southern California Monday, and 247Sports is reporting that two SEC programs are at the top.

The former four-star quarterback will play in a pro-style offense, and Arkansas and Florida are reportedly in the running to land the coveted signal caller. Town has a previous relationship with Florida offensive coordinator Doug Nussmeier, but it’s unknown if the Gators are actually pursuing the quarterback. Arkansas’ offense would also be a nice fit for Town’s strengths. Per Town’s USC release, the only SEC school he can’t consider is Alabama.

Town is a one-time Alabama commit who flipped to Southern Cal after Nick Saban hired Lane Kiffin. The early enrollee is transferring even before his freshman season starts.

The 6-foot-3, 205-pound California native was ranked as the country’s No. 6 overall pro-style quarterback and the country’s No. 79 overall player, according to 247Sports Composite Rankings.
