Florida is 3-3 on the season, but it does not look like the Gators are lacking for confidence heading into their matchup with Georgia.

The Bulldogs are undefeated and up to No. 3 on the AP Poll, but Gators WR Josh Hammond is not phased by that ranking. He made it clear on Monday that he simply does not believe the Bulldogs will be able to beat the Gators this year.

It is true that Florida has dominated the rivalry for a while now. The Gators have won three straight with the closest game in that span decided by 14 points.

Still, it is unwise to provide your competition with bulletin board material leading up to a big-time rivalry game. Georgia is No. 3 for a reason and has looked impressive in starting the season 7-0.

Mark Long of the AP shared Hammond’s comments on Twitter:

Pulling off the upset will require a special effort from Hammond and the Gators, and you can bet the Bulldogs will remember his comments come game time.

Saturday’s kickoff is set for 3:30 pm EST on CBS.
