One of the most talked-about elements of Florida and Georgia’s annual meeting in Jacksonville is the 50-50 split of EverBank Field. The Gators and Bulldogs each have a designated side of the stadium while the end zones are split right down the middle. CBS Sports broadcaster Gary Danielson, however, doesn’t see it as a split crowd.

“Even though it’s a neutral site, this is about a 70-30 Georgia fan base, Danielson said. “I’ve done 10 of them, okay, and the crowd base that gets frustrated the most is the Georgia fans, if things aren’t going well. The Florida fans, there’s not as many of them.”

Danielson was talking about the game, which he’ll cover again this Saturday, on the “SEC on CBS Podcast.”

While Florida needs a win to hold onto its lead in the SEC East, Danielson opined that Georgia will look back on 2016 as a lost season, having dropped games it should have won against Tennessee and Vanderbilt.

“This season will haunt them,” Danielson said.
