This is the kind of story where one might ask, what’s your excuse?

Trashaun Willis, a one-armed quarterback/linebacker standout at Washington High School in Iowa, has received his first Division I football offer from FCS program Lamar, USA Today reported.

Willis is listed at 6-foot-5 and 235 pounds.

This isn’t the first time Willis has drawn attention. As an eighth-grader, he threw down a big-time dunk that was popular around the Internet. A year later, he again made news when he befriended a 6-year-old from across the state who also had one arm missing because of the same congenital defect. At the time, Willis told the Des Moines Register his goal was to become a Division I athlete to help inspire other kids out there like him.

For his high school team this season, Willis has 1,430 total yards and 25 touchdowns as Washington’s quarterback, plus 37.5 tackles and a Pick Six as a linebacker.
