Jamonta Waller, a former Florida commit, has flipped his commitment.

Waller, an EDGE from Picayune, Mississippi, will be suiting up for a different SEC program next season. Instead of Florida, he is heading to Auburn to play for Hugh Freeze, he announced Saturday.

Waller is considered to be a 4-star recruit by 247Sports composite. He is the No. 75 player nationally, the No. 6 EDGE nationally and the No. 2 player in the state of Mississippi. He held offers from Florida, Alabama, Arkansas and Penn State, but ultimately chose the Tigers after decomitting from Florida.

At 6-foot-2, 225 pounds, Waller brings size and speed to Auburn’s defense.

The Tigers are having a good day on Saturday. Along with flipping Waller, Auburn also picked up a dominant win over Arkansas. Perhaps seeing the Tigers dominate played part in Waller’s decision.

Auburn’s program is on a good trajectory under Freeze. The Tigers became bowl eligible on Saturday with the win and still have the chance to pick up a win over New Mexico State and possibly Alabama.

Landing Waller gives Auburn 4 top 100 commits from the Class of 2024.
