Through 6 weeks of the 2021 college football season, it’s starting to become clear who the front-runners are to win the Heisman Trophy. However, there’s not one player who clearly stands above the rest as the overwhelming favorite at this point.

So it should be exciting to see how these standout players finish the year and who rises to the top. Heading into Week 7, Joel Klatt of FOX Sports listed his top players deserving of Heisman consideration, and he included a pair of SEC standouts.

Neither was a surprise inclusion — Alabama quarterback Bryce Young and Ole Miss quarterback Matt Corral, each of whom has impressed to this point in the season.

Here are all 7 players who Klatt included on his Heisman list:

Bijan Robinson, RB, Texas
Desmond Ridder, QB, Cincinnati
Kenneth Walker III, RB, Michigan State
Grayson McCall, QB, Coastal Carolina
Matt Corral, QB, Ole Miss
CJ Stroud, QB, Ohio State
Bryce Young, QB, Alabama

Young has passed for 1,734 yards, 20 touchdowns and 3 interceptions during Alabama’s 5-1 start. He’s thrown multiple TD passes in every game so far.

Corral has passed for 1,497 yards, 12 touchdowns and no interceptions as Ole Miss has started 4-1. He has also rushed for 255 yards and 8 scores.
