Kadyn Proctor, the No. 1 offensive tackle in the nation and a former Iowa football commit has flipped his commitment from the B1G to the SEC. Proctor announced his commitment to Nick Saban and Alabama Tuesday afternoon, just a day before the start of the Early Signing Period.

Proctor now represents Alabama’s 3rd overall commit in the 2023 class according to 247Sports, as well as the 4th 5-star commit for Saban and Co.

In addition to being the No. 1 offensive tackle prospect in the nation, Proctor is also the No. 1 player from the state of Iowa and the No. 5 overall prospect in the Class of 2022. Proctor was the No. 1 commit in Iowa football history before his flip Tuesday afternoon. He had been committed to the Hawkeyes since late June.

To show how dominant Alabama has been on the recruiting trail as of late, Proctor, despite being the No. 1 overall recruit in Iowa football history, does not even crack the top 25 for the Crimson Tide in the past 20 years.
