Even before Bobby Petrino was fired Sunday, many believed Jeff Brohm would replace him as Louisville’s football coach.

That’s exactly who the Cardinals have chosen to take over their program, according to a report from Indianapolis radio host Dan Dakich.

Dakich, who played and coached college basketball at Indiana, cited sources who told him Brohm will be installed as head coach Nov. 26, two days after Louisville’s season finale against Kentucky. Brohm, currently in his second season at Purdue, he long been linked to the Louisville job because he played and started his college coaching there.

Offensive struggles after the departure of Heisman-winning quarterback Lamar Jackson led to Petrino’s downfall with the Cardinals, who have won just two games this season and none in ACC play.

We’ll continue to keep you updated about Louisville’s coaching search moving forward.
