Mel Kiper Jr. has updated his 2023 NFL mock draft after the start of NFL free agency.

Now that team needs are becoming clear with the draft in Kansas City quickly approaching (Round 1 takes place on Thursday, April 27), the ESPN analyst updated his Round 1 projections.

As you can see below, Kiper has the SEC providing picks 2-6 in the first round, part of 10 total first-round selections. Georgia leads the way with 4 players going in Round 1:

  • No. 3 — Will Levis, QB, Kentucky — Indianapolis Colts
  • No. 4 — Will Anderson Jr., Edge, Alabama — Arizona Cardinals
  • No. 5 — Anthony Richardson, QB, Florida — Seattle Seahawks
  • No. 6 — Jalen Carter, DL, Georgia — Detroit Lions
  • No. 12 — Nolan Smith, Edge, Georgia — Houston Texans
  • No. 13 — Broderick Jones, OL, Georgia — New York Jets
  • No. 16 — Emmanuel Forbes, CB, Mississippi State — Washington Commanders
  • No. 19 — Darnell Wright, OL, Tennessee — Tampa Bay Buccaneers
  • No. 28 — Darnell Washington, TE, Georgia — Cincinnati Bengals
