Dan Mullen traverses 26-mile Boston Marathon
Mississippi State coach Dan Mullen picked a heck of a marathon as the first one he’s ever run in his life.
The 43-year-old (soon to be 44 on April 27) ran the 120th Boston Marathon on Monday after Adidas gave him a sponsor’s exemption to run. Mullen is running for the Mullen 36 Foundation, which helps raise money for the youth in the state of Mississippi.
He crossed the finish line of the 26.2-mile route at about 3:50 p.m. ET, posting a time of 4:28:35. Here’s a look at Mullen in all his glory at the end of the grueling run.
He heard the unmistakable sound of cow bells at one point during the run, so he had to pull over for a second.
