Paul Finebaum usually ranks the top 4 teams in the country on Sunday mornings during his appearance on ESPN’s SportsCenter.

But, with Georgia, Ohio State, Michigan and TCU likely entrenched as the top 4 heading into Tuesday’s College Football Playoff rankings, Finebaum took a different approach on Sunday.

This time around, the SEC Network host ranked his top 4 Heisman Trophy candidates, including a pair of SEC quarterbacks:

4. Stetson Bennett, QB, Georgia: “At No. 4, a guy that still doesn’t get any respect. I don’t know why. He won the national championship last year, and he may do it again this year — Stetson Bennett. He may not get a lot of respect elsewhere, but he’s getting it here. He’s been nothing but money. A few problems yesterday, but still, a big win on the road.”

3. Blake Corum, RB, Michigan: “At No. 3, you mentioned him a minute ago — Blake Corum. He’s been the workhorse of Jim Harbaugh’s team as they are undefeated again in mid-November.”

2. Hendon Hooker, QB, Tennessee: “At No. 2, how about Hendon Hooker? He was the favorite 2 weeks ago. He’s now at No. 2. He’s got not the biggest stages left in college football, but he’s still one of the best players and just absolutely diced up Missouri yesterday.”

1. CJ Stroud, QB, Ohio State: “CJ Stroud came close to winning it last year. He was ahead going into the final game against Michigan. He lost it there. We’ll find out in 2 weeks whether he’ll wrap it up.”

It should be an exciting race to the finish for those 4 top Heisman candidates. We’ll see who ultimately lifts the prestigious trophy in December in New York City!
