With the NFL Combine beginning later this week, it is prime time for all of the NFL pundits to weigh in with their predictions for how the draft will go this year.

Those opinions are sure to change between now and the end of April, but they’re still fun to track.

Today, we got a look at CBS Sports NFL columnist Pete Prisco’s first attempt at a 2016 NFL mock draft.

It included eight SEC players, including an increasingly popular prediction of Ole Miss OT Laremy Tunsil going No. 1 overall to help protect Marcus Mariota for the Tennessee Titans.

Here’s a look at where the conference players are projected to go in this mock:

  • 1. Tennessee Titans – Laremy Tunsil, OT, Ole Miss
  • 8. Miami Dolphins – Vernon Hargreaves III, CB, Florida
  • 11. Chicago Bears – A’Shawn Robinson, DL, Alabama
  • 16. Detroit Lion – Laquon Treadwell, WR, Ole Miss
  • 19. Buffalo Bills – Robert Nkemdiche, DL, Ole Miss
  • 20. New York Jets – Jarran Reed, DL, Alabama
  • 21. Washington Redskins – Chris Jones, DL, Mississippi State
  • 27. Green Bay Packers – Reggie Ragland, LB, Alabama

These mock drafts are a constant reminder of how talented both Alabama and Ole Miss were last season, with three projected first round picks each.

Mississippi State’s Chris Jones appears to be a guy on the rise, nearly cracking the Top 20 in this mock draft.

Laquon Treadwell going to the Detroit Lions is an interesting thought, given that their superstar WR Calvin Johnson is expected to retire.
