No matter what recruiting service at which you look, the SEC has as many as 10 programs in the top-25 and seven in the top-14 of the 2015 rankings.

While you may or may not put a lot of stock into rankings, there’s no question the SEC recruits better than any other conference in the country.

With National Signing Day less than a month away, Saturday Down South looks at the top 20 prospects at each position group and how many will or could play for SEC teams in 2015.

Editor’s Note: Below is a list of the consensus top 20 tight ends across all three major recruiting services: 247Sports, Rivals and Scout.

Tight Ends: SEC programs boast 55 percent of the nation’s 20 best tight ends, giving some credence that size and physicality aren’t going out of style. Eleven of the country’s top 20 tight ends will call the SEC home.

Uncommitted Targets: Surprisingly, there’s only one uncommitted prospect in the top 20 tight ends. Four-star Chris Clark — a native of Avon, Conn. — is the only undecided player in the group. The 6-foot-6, 247-pound Clark was once interested in Georgia, but now seems like a lock to land in the Big Ten.

Top 20 tight ends

1. Chris Clark, uncommitted — Mentioned above, Clark had been interested in Georgia and is scheduled for a January official visit to South Carolina, but will most likely end up at Michigan.

2. Alize Jones, UCLA — Jones is listed as one of the top two tight ends among all three services and is en route to a summer arrival at UCLA. Auburn had once been in the discussion for Jones, but the Bishop Gorman star chose to stay out west.

3. Hale Hentges, Alabama — Hentges now owns the the school record for career receptions at Helias Catholic. The Jefferson City, Mo., native chose the Crimson Tide over virtually every other SEC program.

4. Devonaire Clarington, Texas — The Miami, Fla., native had four SEC teams in his top five — according to 247Sports — but chose Charlie Strong and the Texas Longhorns on Saturday at the U.S. Army All-American Bowl.

5. Jordan Davis, Texas A&M — Davis has long been committed to the Aggies and though he played wide receiver in high school, he’ll transition to tight end for Kevin Sumlin upon his arrival this month.

6. Will Gragg, Arkansas — Gragg, whose older brother Chris played for the Razorbacks, has already enrolled in Fayetteville and should provide stiff competition to replace A.J. Derby in 2015.

7. Jackson Harris, Georgia — At 6-foot-6, 250-pounds, Harris is massive but has good speed for his size. Harris went with the Bulldogs over Alabama and Arkansas.

8. Garrett Williams, Clemson — The Orlando, Fla. native impressed at the Under Armour All-America Game and will head to Clemson to play for Dabo Swinney.

9. C.J. Conrad, Kentucky — The 6-foot-5, 225-pound tight end will add talent to the skill positions for new offensive coordinator Shannon Dawson.

10. C.J. O’Grady, Arkansas — The Fayetteville High School prospect decided to stay home and play for a tight end-heavy scheme under Bret Bielema.

11. Tyler Petite, USC — Petite’s decision was never in doubt for the California product. He chose the Trojans over Arizona and Arizona State.

12. Kyle Penniston, Wisconsin — The Badgers plucked Penniston right out of California power Mater Dei. Penniston committed early last year, and its unknown whether or not new head coach Paul Chryst will flip Penniston’s decision.

13. David Edwards, Wisconsin — At 6-foot-7, 245-pounds, Edwards will provide a versatility for Wisconsin able to catch the ball, pass block and run block.

14. Jalen Harris, Auburn — Harris has been solid with the Tigers all throughout his process and should make the 45-minute drive from Montgomery to the Plains.

15. Jamario Bell, Arkansas — The Razorbacks third prospect to make the cut, Bielema adds another standout tight end to his punishing offense.

16. Jalen Wilkerson, Florida State — Wilkerson, a native of Douglas, Ga., chose Jimbo Fisher and the Seminoles over Alabama, Auburn and LSU.

17. Bowman Archibald, Wake Forest — The Demon Deacons plucked the third-rated tight end out of South Florida and will add a versatile piece to a Wake offense that struggles to score points.

18. Daniel Imatorbhebhe, Florida — The three-star is solid with the Gators, new head coach Jim McElwain and new offensive coordinator Doug Nussmeier.

19. Christian Owens, South Carolina — The four-star will be an early enrollee at South Carolina and should add an element of explosiveness to the Gamecocks tight end spot.

20. Willie Hibbler, Ole Miss — Hugh Freeze picked up a nice addition with the North Panola star. At 6-foot-5, 220-pounds, Hibbler is the top tight end in the Magnolia State and should add a nice compliment to Evan Engram.
