Alabama defensive coordinator Jeremy Pruitt is only in his second year running the Crimson Tide defense after taking over for Kirby Smart, but he’s already drawing interest for some head coaching positions.

As Mississippi State, Tennessee and Arkansas all look for new coaches, Pruitt has gotten interest from two of those schools.

According to a report by TideSports.com, Pruitt has already interviewed for the Mississippi State job and is now getting consideration for the Tennessee opening, as well:

University of Alabama defensive coordinator Jeremy Pruitt has interviewed for the head football coaching vacancy at Mississippi State and emerged as a candidate for the Tennessee opening, The Tuscaloosa News has learned.

Will Pruitt be able to land either job? That remains to be seen, especially if the Tide are included in the College Football Playoff.

For now, though, speculation will continue to run rampant. Pruitt has quite the resume as Alabama’s defensive coordinator, so it’s not surprising that he’s drawing some interest for a potential upgrade.
