Report: Kansas expected to fire coach David Beaty after 27-3 loss to Iowa State
Heading into the season, Kansas coach David Beaty was 3-33 in three years at the helm of the program.
This year, though, the Jayhawks have shown signs of life, beating TCU last weekend and putting up a 3-6 record through 10 weeks in 2018.
However, that apparently isn’t enough for Beaty to keep his job now. Despite doubling his win total, a 27-3 loss is reportedly what will cause him to be fired, according to AP voter and radio host Soren Petro:
More confirmation. David Beaty is out as the Head Coach at Kansas. The announcement will be made tomorrow around Noon. https://t.co/qDf5lLJb4b

According to Petro, Beaty will probably finish the year out on Kansas’s sidelines, and there’s some chatter about former LSU coach Les Miles heading to Lawrence:
I expect Beaty to finish the season on the sideline for the Jayhawks. There is a lot of chatter about Les Miles being the next Head Coach at Kansas. There are a number of signs pointing to this (beyond just dot connected soeculation) but I have not been able to confirm.

Would the Mad Hatter be able to turn the Jayhawks around? That would be a tough task for the former national champion.
