Report: Kent State football player dies during second day of camp
Football is a dangerous sport, and playing it in the summer heat makes it even tougher.
Sadly, on Tuesday, Kent State OT Tyler Heintz died during the second day of the Golden Flashes’ summer camp, according to WKTN.com.
Heintz was entering his freshman season out of Kenton High School in Kenton, Ohio.
Heintz was a 2-star recruit, according to 247Sports.com, and signed with Kent State on Feb. 1.
Kent State has yet to release a statement about Tuesday’s tragic death.
