Rick Neuheisel is riding with Alabama this postseason.

The CBS analyst has faith in the Tide as they take on Georgia in the SEC Championship this weekend, and he believes a win will land them in the CFP. Neuheisel is favoring Alabama for one main reason: Georgia’s struggles against rushing quarterbacks this seasoan.

“Both teams gave up over 200 yards rushing to Auburn. Both teams did,” Neuheisel said on Inside College Football. “If you look at the Auburn quarterbacks against Georgia, they combined for 128 yards, Payton Thorne, Robby Ashford, 128 yards, 16 carries. That’s the only running quarterback Georgia really faced this year.”

Neuheisel believes that Milroe will have his way with Georgia’s defense on the ground.

“Here comes Jalen Milroe who’s got a couple of hundred yard games under his belt,” Neuheisel said. “Tommy Rees has developed the quarterback run game to go along with some big downfield chunks. They’re No. 2 in the country in terms of yards per attempt. There’s reason to believe on the geographic feel why they can win… The Church of Saban will sing again.”

Later in the show when making Playoff predictions, Neuheisel gave Alabama the edge to reach the CFP, crediting them for a potential win over Georgia as enough to make it in.
