Week 6 in the SEC featured a number of memorable games, most notably Texas A&M’s upset of Alabama and Ole Miss’ thrilling 52-21 win over Arkansas.
Georgia, meanwhile, continued its dominance by beating Auburn, 34-10, and upstart Kentucky moved to 6-0 on the season by thrashing LSU.
On Monday, the SEC recognized the weekend’s best individual performances by handing out its Player of the Week awards.
Here’s a look at all of the recipients following Week 6:
- Offensive: Texas A&M QB Zach Calzada — Passed for 285 yards and 3 TDs in the upset win over the Crimson Tide.
- Offensive line: Ole Miss OL Nick Broeker — Graded out at 90 percent and helped the Rebels pile up 611 total yards in the Arkansas win.
- Offensive line: Kentucky OG Eli Cox — Graded out at 91 percent and helped the Wildcats rush for 330 yards in the victory over LSU.
- Defensive: Tennessee DB Brandon Turnage — Recorded 14 tackles and 2 tackles for losses in his first career start to help the Vols beat South Carolina.
- Defensive line: Texas A&M DL Tyree Johnson — Recorded 4 tackles and 2 sacks in the victory over Alabama.
- Defensive line: Kentucky DT Octavious Oxendine — Registered 3 tackles and 2 sacks in the win over LSU.
- Special teams: Texas A&M KR Devon Achane – Returned a kickoff 96 yards for a 3rd quarter touchdown in the win over Alabama.
- Freshman: Georgia WR Ladd McConkey — Had 5 receptions for 135 yards and a TD in the victory at Auburn.
