SEC football is back this week!

Mizzou’s spring game is up first. The Tigers are set to hold their Black & Gold Spring Game on Saturday. It will be streamed on SEC Network+ and ESPN+.

Once MU wraps up spring, it’s about a month before SEC spring games resume. April 13 is the busiest day of SEC spring football, with 8 games scheduled.

SEC spring action wraps up on April 20 with Mississippi State, Texas A&M, Oklahoma, Texas and South Carolina. The Sooners and Longhorns are not official SEC members yet, so their games are not streaming on SEC Network+.

Auburn and Vanderbilt are producing spring “All-Access” specials in place of live spring game broadcasts, per ESPN.  Auburn’s A-Day is scheduled for April 6. (ESPN’s press release also included Texas A&M as producing an “All-Access” special instead of a live spring game broadcast, but the Maroon & White Game is still listed on ESPN’s schedule and the Aggies’ official website.)

Alabama in the national spotlight

ESPN picked one spring game to televise nationally. To the surprise of no one, it’s Alabama.

There is always increased interest for a new head coach’s spring game debut. It’s safe to say the entirety of the college football world is ready for an early look at Alabama football in the Kalen DeBoer era.

Diehards are following every tidbit out of Alabama’s spring practice, but for most CFB fans, this is the first opportunity to get a feel for the Crimson Tide in the post-Nick Saban era.

DeBoer is considered one of college football’s top offensive minds. His Washington teams were among the most fun to watch in college football. At Alabama, DeBoer inherits an incumbent starting quarterback in Jalen Milroe.

How Milroe looks playing in DeBoer’s scheme figures to be one of the main viewing draws for the Alabama spring game. Plenty of fans will also be interested to see Austin Mack. The Washington transfer quarterback was a 4-star recruit out of high school and has familiarity with DeBoer’s system from his season in Seattle.

Outside of Alabama, it’s streaming for almost every other SEC spring game. There are perks, of course, to having your own network. Texas’ game will air on the Longhorn Network.
