The first round of the 2018 NFL Draft was a wild one, but when all was said and done, it was another record-breaking night for the SEC.

That’s because the conference once again dominated, with 10 players being selected among the first 32 picks. That was four more than the second-place ACC, which had six players chosen.

As you can see below, the SEC’s selections started at No. 8 and went all the way to No. 31:

  • No. 8 — Roquan Smith, LB, Georgia — Chicago Bears
  • No. 11 — Minkah Fitzpatrick, DB, Alabama — Miami Dolphins
  • No. 13 — Da’Ron Payne, DL, Alabama — Washington Redskins
  • No. 20 — Frank Ragnow, C, Arkansas — Detroit Lions
  • No. 22 — Rashaan Evans, LB, Alabama — Tennessee Titans
  • No. 23 — Isaiah Wynn, OL, Georgia — New England Patriots
  • No. 25 — Hayden Hurst, TE, South Carolina — Baltimore Ravens
  • No. 26 — Calvin Ridley, WR, Alabama — Atlanta Falcons
  • No. 29 — Taven Bryan, DL, Florida — Jacksonville Jaguars
  • No. 31 — Sony Michel, RB, Georgia — New England Patriots

By having 10 players selected in the first round, the SEC now has accounted for five of the six times a conference has ever had double-digit first-round selections:

Here’s a breakdown of the other picks by conference:

  • SEC — 10
  • ACC — 6
  • Big Ten — 4
  • Pac-12 — 4
  • Mountain West — 3
