SEC releases team-by-team schedules for 2021 football season
The Southeastern Conference has just released the schedules for the upcoming football season.
While last season was full, playing all conference foes, the league has shifted back to its eight-game SEC schedule with four non-conference opponents.
Here is a team-by-team breakdown of each schedule released by the SEC on Wednesday.

How come you gumps always have an open date before you play LSU? Scared much?
Are you that stupid? Both Bama and the corn dogs have had bye weeks before playing the last ten years. Serious question. Why does Bama live rent free in your head?
Serious question why do the SEC powers bend over for Bama?
Besides always having your bye week before us, your cross division rival is Tennessee. Its time to do away with that nonsense… yall want to play em so bad move that arse to the east.
We play Florida every year, and yall play Tennessee… how is this fair?
SEC makes up the schedule, not Bama. Why won’t you answer my question?
The way you talk on SDS all big, bad, tough and condescending, you should be able to handle any team that comes your way.
The SEC makes the schedule the way bama wants it… hence the permanent cross division rivalry to preserve the bama v Tennessee game… its also why they always give little nicky the bye before LSU bc thats the way he wants it. But you are right it doesn’t matter because we are going to smack all those bama newbies in the mouth next year. Get ready for growing pains bub. Nobody can reload after all those losses… and I do mean nobody.
Serious question… Why does the SEC powers allow LSU to cover up sexual assault?
Why do you refuse to answer my question? Why does Bama live rent free in that shallow mind of yours? Is it too tough of question for you?
Scuza, here’s a marco polo…
I have a question…why does LSShoe only have to play against one team coming off of BYE week (BAMA) and Alabama has to play against three (LSSHOE -MS -MS ST)? Looks like Stankey and Ed have it in for Nick this year…
Forget it then. Don’t answer my question. I know it’s too much for you.
Why do I live in your head rent free bubba?
You’re on EVERY Bama article. You don’t see me on LSU articles like that. You have to answer a question with a question? Lame a$$ corndog.
You are on everyone of my posts… me thinks you have a crush on me.
Yes he is that stupid. He picked Clemson, ND, and then OSU in the playoffs. He makes a rock look like Mensa material.
Ole Miss gets to play Vandy every year….you don’t hear us crying about it. Take it up with Sankey. But it must suck knowing that your HC is a fraud, that you caught lightning in a bottle one time and all those that made it happen are gone. That leaves you with a fat contract extension and buyout for a HC that can never recapture that success…pretty much exactly like Gene Chizik at Auburn after Gus and Cam Newton simultaneously left. Saban, on the other hand, has proven time and again to withstand coach and player losses better than anyone.
He has never had turnover like this years… good luck gumps!
Yes he has, and Bama will beat LSU this year. Good luck corndog.
Oct. 23 at Ole Miss
Oct. 30 Open Date
Nov. 6 at Alabama
What’s the matter, Scared much?
Just to be clear, the schedule indicates Mike the Tiger will be facing ‘Open Date’ on 10/30. So, let me ask; why don’t y’all take off on 11/13 instead so you can have a solid 2 week mourning period for your Bama beat down? Arkansas also has an open slot for 10/30 so it’s just a matter of getting Greg Sankey to sign off on it. Oh, wait. You want the extra weekend off 10/30 to get your crying towels dry for the Bama game?
How far LSU has fallen in just one season. Last year, Coach – we need English sub-titles to understand what he is saying, said he owns BAMA and recruiting. Bryant-Denny was his house.
Stop crying. Take a look at BAMA’s roster – it is loaded with kids from Louisiana – including DeVonta Smith.
One championship does not make LSU world beaters. LSU has three championships. Saban won one and Les Miles won with Saban’s players.
Ya’ll are good at wrestling gators just not the ones in Gainesville.

Georgia has a favorable schedule. Time to make it count!
Looks like Auburn might have the toughest.
Coach Bryan Harsin, welcome to the SEC!
Bama clearly has the toughest…3 BYE teams…ouch
You need your eyes checked… Arkansas clearly has the toughest schedule.
At Georgia
At LSU
At Bama
TAMU in Arlington
Vs Texas
I wouldn’t even put bama in the top half
But no BYE team disadvantage, I’ll stick with my 1st choice but thanks for the offer
Just like last year the SEC sticks it to the pigs again.
You really think the bye disadvantage is greater than playing on the road? Think about it bub
You obviously have never suited up
Fantasy,
Just because you were an extra in the Waterboy movie, that does not mean you have suited up. And just because someone has not suited up does not mean they don’t know football. Lighten up tough guy
It doesn’t matter if I suited up….bub…opinions do not require full dress out. It does matter that my opinion is mine, a team facing 3 fresh extra week prepped SEC teams in a season is at an unfair disadvantage to a team that only faces one…imho. But yes, Arky got greased. I thought we adding them in 2020 would result in them having a different crossover in 21…poor Sam
Isn’t that just the norm at this point? Not to mention how we screw ourselves over as well, with no home game after going to College Station last year and War Memorial taking away a home game every year.
As a former proponent for the WLOCP in Jaxvlle I feel your pain…time to go to a home and away with Florida, our home slate has been pretty sad the last several seasons
Is Clemson at Charlotte replacing that?
Naw, we have to “neutral” not really sire games this year instead of the usual 1 in Florida
^two
Fantasyfootballallgod, Yeah, on second thought-look, I agree. Arkansas has the toughest schedule.
I don’t get the Bama has 3 Bye teams argument.
Ole Miss can possibly take advantage of the extra week. Miss St. Not so much.
The LSU Bye is off-set. Both teams get two weeks…
Kind of a contradiction isn’t it?
Don’t get the Bama has 3 BYE teams argument…Ole Miss can possibly take advantage…
It isn’t an unfair advantage when say UGA and FL both have BYE week just before playing each other, just like Bama – LSSHOE. The entire conference could easily be set up with uniform scheduling and yet…and yet, in the immortal lyrics of Todd Rungren…I don’t want to work, I want to bang on the drum all day
This from an UGA fan who will line up against the likes of Charleston Southern, Vandy, TN, and Georgia Tech? Tell us, humper, which of those are you penciling in for an L?
What “this from an UGa fan” are you talking about, names? you lost me with that one. I said the Bama has a disadvantage this year, not following you
UGA will always be a second level team. Kirby needs to stick to defense and a get a real O Coordinator. The choking continues in the tradition of Mark Richt.

Todd Monken fan I see…
Mizzou is entering a new era where we will no longer rely on stacking the pre-season with cupcakes.
– Dan Devine 1959
2 and 2 to start the year with losses to Kentucky and Boston College.
I love to see Florida at Mizzou Nov. 20th.
Gonna be chilly for those Florida boys!!
Dawgs got Rocky Top Nov. 13th that could be a chilly game as well.
Oct. 14th is the start of snow season in mid-Missouri, Oct. 5 in the northwest corner. Nov. the 29 is only the average first day of snow for Columbia in mid Missouri.
It’s the 2nd longest trip for a football game in the SEC, the longest being the trip back to their training room.
How is that going for ND?
schedule looks somewhat manageable for us. UCLA in California is interesting. We also draw Kentucky which I guess is solid. @Alabama is really the only game I’d pencil in for an L right now, and after that the toughest game might be in Oxford.
We gonna skull fugg those gumps baw… pencil in a dub.
Are you the LSU fan the Bama fan rubbed his junk on after the 2012 natty? Just trying to figure out where so much hate comes from. I get it though. You was straight up molested. I guess I would hate them too.
He picked each playoff game wrong and the championship game wrong. ND was going to beat Bama, and OSU was going to stomp them. He makes a rock look intelligent.
I also picked LSU to beat Florida at +1150… I dont see you mentioning that? Shoulder shrug
When I read the comment from tigersforlife I asked myself, ‘Did he clear that L with Fantasy?’ Then I saw your W. Right now, as a Bammer, I can honestly say there’s 3 games, maybe 4, that Coach GOAT might drop but the LSU Corndogs ain’t one of ‘em! Lightening ain’t gonna strike twice with Coach O vs the master.
English please.
A lot of pride on the line with Texas early. A win here would set a good tone for the year. Texas would then be back again-back to losing.
Geez! For the first month, y’all may feel like you’re back in the old SWC! Hope you beat’em, bacon bits! Horns down!
Thank you sir! Glad we can agree that Texas sucks.
Samford … FAU… USF… a truly sad schedule for my Mighty Gators. Our AD should beg forgiveness after inflicting this on Gator Nation.
I don’t care. We need all the wins we can get.
Hopefully, this year Mullen feels the same way.
My thinking is that the Gators will not be as good of a team as they were last year, but still win more games. That team dropping 4 was inexplicable.
Until a few years ago the schedule could be forgiven because y’all always end with FSU. Personally, I’d love to see Florida replace FSU with Miami and meet on a neutral field. Maybe Orlando or Tampa. Just my two cents.
FSU has sunk to the level of competition in the ACC. Maybe they will be back next year or someday. However, they are still a rival, so I am thinking the AD figured with Bama and FSU at home, ticket ps are gonna sell.
Hey. A Samford grad here. We’re actually gonna help by giving you a W. And our colors are red, white, and blue! What could go wrong?
I love seeing Auburn stuck with @LSU the week before Georgia. Auburn got the double home games 2012/13 I think it was and that will never be repaid to UGA.
Then they belly ache to league office about back to back with Georgia then Bama even though it was tradition for like 60 years to play UGA-Auburn late in the year. Of which Auburn usually has a cupcake bye week game in between anyway.
Finally Auburn didn’t get served up.
I still have an awful remembrance of Auburn hosing down the UGA fans. They will never live that down.
Who wants to live it down? I still think that was funny as hell. LOL!
I wish they’d just play two in Athens to settle but that won’t happen til at least 2024.
Also if we had GT to end the session I don’t think there would be much “belly aching”
Lol…takes a dig at the final week while opening with Akron while Georgia is playing Clemson though in fairness both of those games should be equally competitive.
What does the opening week have to do with this? Do we play Akron every year? Do y’all play clemson every year?
Didn’t think so.. move along pup.
We have Clemson scheduled a lot in the coming decade. There is one season where they currently have both them and Ohio State.
But yeah, I guess that’s weak because Georgia Tech.
I’m sure that Akron game will be fun to watch. I do think Auburn will manage to win late, but it’ll be worth watching.
Again.. what does that have to do with anything? Future schedules are irrelevant to this topic. You play GT every year..
The complaint was never about having to play Bama and UGA back to back. Hell, Amen Corner was named that because they used to end with UF, UGA, and Bama every year. The complaint was about not having a home game for recruiting in November every other year. With the early signing period, it became a big deal.
Weagle, it kind of was. Here is a quote from Bama newspaper.
“Auburn head coach Gus Malzahn and athletics director Allen Greene have both said the program has wanted to remedy having to play two key road games against two key rivals in a short span on alternating years.”
Yes but it was about both games being on the road instead of alternating like they used to…
Can you quote who saying that or is it just the journalists words?
This was more about changing in back to home/away instead of home/home or away/away. Auburn wanted to change it. The sec said no because of the realignment and adding A&M and Missouri. So Auburn said alright then move our uga game up in the schedule. They did that. Uga agreed to it as well.
Justin Lee, Dothan Eagle. You can google it by putting the quote in the search bar.
This isn’t a big deal. I only commented because Weagle said it was only about recruiting. You don’t seem to be in agreement with that either.
My message to UGA fans would be to shut and play the darn game.
Justin Lee is a beat writer for auburn. Those are his words and his journalism. They are not quotes from any official representative from auburn football.
wde0012 I should probably just leave it alone lmao but BT is being an idiot once again. He says Auburn is garbage for no apparent reason lmfao. If you can back me up that’d be amazing. It seems you’re a pretty honest and non-biased person.
Wow you’re begging backup on a CFB message board… LMAO you’re a dumba$$.. I’ve got you so worked up by using one word it’s pure comedy….
Auburn is garbage…. Keep begging for another anonymous poster to blow some smoke up your a$$ LMaO
You’re just that ignorant lmao. I need someone else to knock some sense into you cause clearly I can’t lmao
You can think the 2020-21 Auburn basketball team is garbage, but that’s biased. Plain. Simple.
Wait you’re saying a Bama fan is biased when it comes to Auburn? Man you will be really amazed by the fact water is wet…
Auburn is garbage dumba$&
You have no brain.
You’re a dumba$$…
Think what ya want buddy.
Of course I will think what I want…
Auburn is garbage dumba$$..
Your opinion is strange but think what you want.
Yet my opinion is no more right or wrong than yours…
Dumba$$
Think what ya want
Think what ya want
With our two neutral conference games, we only play two SEC home games this season. It will be like this every two years. that means only two games with official visits every other year.
I’m with the A&M AD, get rid of the Jerry World game and playing Mizz in LR is like playing a home game in BumFart, Alaska.
Yeah I bet it scares bama to death to play a team they beat 55-17
Pretty decent schedule for UT. Some pretty good games. Unfortunately, I am sure we won’t be as competitive in some of these games as we usually are. Also, with a reduced roster, eight games before the open date is brutal.
Missou possible 6-0 headed to a home game with TX A&M. KY week 2 is a toss-up but a 9-3 2nd yr under Drinkowitz isn’t out of the question
It’s a good schedule for a talented sophomore quarterback seeking pocket with an option to ramble looks. But Shawn Robinson is still available and his athletic talent could already be warmed up and ready. It will be a wrestling match for the #2 chart because Brady Cook has some playing time already, and the athletic Tyler Macon coming aboard. Drinkwitz has a clear model in mind for Bazelak. Now will Missouri finally have a receiver coach?, because this coaching position is the difference between a top 10 ranking and a top 20 ranking.
Once again, we have a tough schedule. Good.
UK has to have the toughest 3 game stretch with Florida, LSU and Georgia.
Quit whining LSU fans. Look who we have to play every year. Suck it up buttercup.
Pretty manageable sked for LSU. Nice opening West Coast road gm to keep the tm focused in camp.
With all of the returning talent in BR this could set-up for a very good bounce back yr. If the Def makes only modest improvement, this will be a much better tm. There’s just too much elite talent on that side of the ball not to improve. Can’t wait for Spring Training to see how things develop.
In the next couple of years UGA will have to make a decision regarding the WLOCP. Continue in Jax or move to home-and-home? Or some combination of the two, that could also involve the occasional game in Atlanta. Well, here’s more ammo for the home-and-home crowd.
UGA will play 12 regular season games in 2021. Four on the road, two at neutral sites, and 6 at home. Before the 2020 schedule was disrupted UGA also had two neutral site games scheduled. And has at least two more Chick-fil-A kickoff games scheduled in the next few years.
Add in the two schedule fixtures of Florida in Jax and the permanent Georgia Tech non-con series, and the program is bleeding off home games at a rate higher than any major P5 program in the country. But there’s more.
Georgia has signed agreements to play perhaps the most aggressive non-con schedule in the country well into the 2030s. Unlike many P5 programs, Georgia has truly reduced the number of home cupcake games and added home-and-home series with Oklahoma, FSU, Texas, Ohio State, UCLA, and TWO H&H series with Clemson.
If things stand as they are, UGA will, without a doubt, play the fewest games at home of any major P5 program, and very possibly have the toughest cumulative schedule in the country over that span of years. That is not a good combination.
We’ll see what happens, but I have the feeling that something has to give – and it could be the Cocktail Party.
I didn’t do a ton of research, but didn’t see a year where UGA doesn’t have six home games. That is pretty much the norm (I believe). I saw a couple, including next year, where they have seven.
Seven home games is the norm for most blueblood P5 programs, with 8 some years. Seven is a high water mark for us, and won’t happen often in the next 15 years.
Really, it’s just math, JTF. Everyone plays 12 games. Some conferences play 8 league games, some 9, but over time that balances out to an even split of home games. Except for the 4 P5 teams that play an annual neutral site game – Georgia, Florida, Oklahoma and Texas. Notre Dame had the Shamrock Series every year at a neutral site, but that appears dead for the time being.
There are 8 P5 teams in the country that are required to play a rival out of conference each year (all SEC vs ACC). Of those 8, only two are also playing a neutral site game each and every year – Georgia and Florida. It now comes down to non-con scheduling, and Georgia is vastly more aggressive over the next 15 years in both traveling away from home and taking on much tougher competition than the Gators.
As I said, this observation is about home games over an extended period – the next 12-15 years. No other P5 program has the combination of those 3 factors impacting home games.
OK. But, I am glad to see the tough scheduling. I hate these cupcake games and the SEC should step up and stop them.
Hopefully, in the new eight team playoff system, the committee will place greater emphasis on SOS.
Cupcake games are not an SEC phenomenon. All the P5 conferences have their buy-a-home-win strategies, but they don’t always work out. The Big 12 took 3 shots to their pride from Sun Belt teams to open the season. We’ve had a tough time with teams like Georgia Southern, UAB, and UCF in the past. Our narrow win a few weeks ago in the Peach Bowl was against a cupcake conference team.
The only way you get away from P5 teams regularly playing non-con games against G5 teams is for at least 3 of the P5 conferences to agree to schedule only P5 non-con games. One conference alone can’t do it if the other 4 are reluctant to fill their non-con slate with P5s.
I agree that P5 teams should not be playing FCS teams (with the exception of Florida playing Georgia Southern a few years ago, or Michigan and App State prior – those turned out pretty well for FCS). I think it’s OK for P5 to play G5, and G5 to play FCS.
Boo hoo
Pigs play less home games than uga and a tougher schedule every year.
You girls play in the lEast for crying out loud!
Cry me a river.
Well,
Bammer 11-1 (they gotta slip up somewhere)
Arky 4-8
AU 7-5
Gators 9-3
Dawgs 11-1
Kentucky 8-4
LSU 9-3
Ole Miss 8-4
Miss ST 7-5
Mizzou 8-4
SC 4-8
TN 4-8
TA&M 10-2
Vandy 2-10
Who are the three losses by UF and LSU to?
You’d assume Bama and Georgia. The third is dicey. Kentucky or LSU maybe?
As for LSU, I have them bouncing back in a big way and figure them for 2 losses.
UF (Bama, GA, and someone they shouldn’t, maybe LSU again)
LSU (Bama, TA&M, Fla or UCLA)
OK, but you had Bama losing a game. That could realistically only be to UF or LSU. And someone has to win the LSU/UF game. So, you are going to need upsets for your scenario to play out.
BTW, just making conversation. You guesses are as good as mine or anybody else.
I think the Bama loss could be any one of LSU, UF, or Texas A&M. And one of or more of the others gets upset. As you say just a SWAG at this point but fun. I just hope we can finally put it all together…nothing else matters.
10-2
There’s lots of stupid comments on this section, but yours is the worst. But it does appear that Lame has found the bag man.
Serious question, what do you think Ole Miss’s record will be next year?
