It’s almost time for bowl season, and now is a great time to look at which players may have a big performance in leading their team to victory.

Many of the SEC teams playing in a bowl game this season have a tough matchup ahead. According to the S&P+ projections, SEC teams are expected to go 3-6 in bowl games this year. Additionally, the biggest projected margin of victory for an SEC team is four points for both Missouri and Alabama.

While a tough game may be ahead for those from the SEC, the hosts of SEC Nation picked a player that they believe will have a big game in leading their team to victory.

Tim Tebow went with Missouri QB Drew Lock and laid out a simple challenge to the junior QB:

“Let’s go Drew Lock, show me something,” said Tebow.

While Tebow and Paul Finebaum would both select QBs in the segment, Marcus Spears picked out Kentucky RB Benny Snell as the player he believes will have a big-time game:

“I’m going Benny Snell against Northwestern,” said Spears. “Look, he plays with a chip on his shoulder. Northwestern with the No. 1 defense in the Big 10, and he’s mad he didn’t get the first team all-SEC consideration, even leading the SEC in rushing.”

Finebaum went last and selected Auburn QB Jarrett Stidham as the Tigers will need to rely on him against UCF:

“I’m going to go with Jarrett Stidham,” Finebaum explained. “If they win the game, it’s going to be because he riddles the other side.”
