SEC Network analyst Cole Cubelic tweets takeaways from SEC's Week 2 action
The SEC turned in some more outstanding performances in Week 2, from Texas A&M’s near-upset of Clemson to Georgia’s dominant win over South Carolina to Kentucky finally ending its 31-year losing streak to Florida.
On Sunday morning, SEC Network analyst Cole Cubelic took to Twitter to break down all of Saturday’s action, sharing his thoughts on all 14 SEC squads.
Below, you can see what he had to say about your favorite team — whether it be good, bad or ugly:
We do it each Sunday morning. My SEC takeaways from the week:
ALABAMA: The machine continues to roll. Haven’t even had to really unleash what might be a dominant ground game. Explosive offense will give the defense plenty of time to iron things out.

AUBURN: Handled their business. Whitlow continues to look like more of the regular RB with his north/south capabilities. DL filthy. Huge test coming into JHS this week. Young receivers continued to impress.

GEORGIA: Big step towards locking up the East. Fromm was solid. OL overcame tough injury & looked better than last week. DL was a handful, Tyler Clark really stuck out as being disruptive. Statement game to the rest of the league.

LSU: Did what they needed to do setting up a monster SECW clash this weekend. Brossette is the guy. Burrow took care of the ball. No turnovers. Front seven dominated. Line of scrimmage matchups will be gigantic next Saturday.

MISSOURI: Lock was lights out against a good secondary. Still had some balance on offense. Good to see the defense play the run as well as they did. Anxious to see this team tested. Have been impressive thus far.

SOUTH CAROLINA: Wasn’t sure why the commitment to the run game just never happen. The left side of the OL was so good last week. 54 rushing yards isn’t enough. Too many weapons to put that much on Bentley. Need a playmaker to emerge on defense.

TEXAS A&M: Mond proves why he’s the guy. All the wow factor from the young QB. Guy was just incredible. Jimbo gave his team a shot at home late. Almost all you can ask there. Turnovers just brutal. Will need some balance moving forward.

VANDERBILT: Shurmur continues to carve. Defense stuffed the run & took the ball away. Ludwig did a nice job of spreading the ball around. Big one coming up…

Week 3 provides some more big-time action, with No. 1 Alabama heading to Ole Miss and LSU and Auburn kicking off SEC play with a huge game at Jordan-Hare Stadium.
And the same time next Sunday, Cubelic will be here to break down what happened in Week 3 across the SEC.
