Kentucky will send 4 players to the combine while Tennessee, Arkansas and Alabama will each send 1. Here is the group of SEC players:

  • Trevon Brazile, Arkansas
  • Rob Dillingham, Kentucky

According to NBA insider Shams Charania, NBA teams vote on who they feel are the top 10 players at the combine from that list. The results of that vote determine a ranking system that allows certain teams to access the combine information of those players.

Based on the voting results, the SEC has 3 players in the “top 10 players” list with Dillingham, Knecht and Sheppard finishing in the 7-10 voting range. That allows teams selecting in picks 1-25 to access their combine data. Alexandre Sarr, an Australian player, finished No. 1 overall.

UConn, fresh off its 2nd straight NCAA Tournament title, is one of the stories of the invites. Dan Hurley’s entire starting 5 received invites with star big man Donovan Clingan headlining that group which also includes Stephon Castle, Alex Karaban, Tristen Newton and Cam Spencer.
